The Omana residence is a grand home that sits on 3108 square metres of land in central Auckland. Our client, having lived in the home for 5 yrs was looking to 'complete' a number of spaces that were under utilised due to the size of the rooms and not having the furniture to suit.
We approached the project as a whole, to honour the architecture of the home and bring together a colour palette and furnishing that would create intimacy, connect the spaces and reflect our clients love for colour and texture.

We introduced sculptural and unique furniture to fill voluminous spaces and layered with textural fabrics to adorn the oversized windows. The effect was to enhance the features yet make them feel less overwhelming.
The kitchen and living area is a more modern light-filled space opening up to a luscious garden. Lighter shades of dusky pink were used on furnishing and object creating connection with the formal front lounge but creating a more relaxed aesthetic. Greenery inside reinforced the colours of the greenery beyond.
A sculptural floor lamp stands proud in the adjoining spaces between the living and dining room and creating a natural flow through to the softer tones of the dining room. Colours brought out in the original stained glass windows. The vast master bedroom brings tougher the palette of soft pinks, earthy greens, deep purples to create a soft and inviting space to relax and retreat to.
